PANORAMIC LAKE-VIEW KITCHEN — PLANNED AROUND LIGHT, VIEW, AND DAILY USE
The Sway Country Home kitchen project is shaped by spatial planning and precise set-outs, where form and function are resolved together to maximise the home’s natural surroundings. Dream Design developed the layout so the room feels calm to move through, direct to use, and closely connected to the terrace and lake.
Positioning the sink within the island removed the need for cabinetry along the exterior wall. This allowed a panoramic window to be set below worktop height, opening the elevation and framing uninterrupted views while maintaining clean lines across the kitchen.
This kitchen is specified as an architectural composition, with material continuity and detailing carried consistently across elevations. SieMatic SLX cabinetry combines Umbra laminate with Gold Bronze handle recesses and Hazel Brown Oak veneer with matching handles. Tall glass cabinets in Parsol glass with Gold Bronze-framed doors reveal Hazel Brown Oak interiors and Tarsie veneer back panels, adding depth while keeping the overall language quiet and ordered.
Work surfaces are specified in Inalco MDI Vint, with a cantilevered, flush-mounted breakfast bar in MDI Iseo Gris to create a natural gathering point without interrupting circulation. Wall panels in book-matched Neolith Calacatta Luxe Ultra Soft form a focal elevation, set out for alignment and continuity so the veining reads as one surface rather than applied pieces. Furniture and lighting were selected from specialist partners including Contardi and Poltrona Frau to complete the room with measured warmth and presence.
This project reflects Dream Design’s wider approach to kitchen design and interior architecture, where proportion, circulation, and long-term coherence guide every decision.
