Dream Design was founded in 1984, creating bespoke cabinetry for discerning clients. Since then, we have grown into one of the UK’s leading interior architecture and design studios.
We are a family-run studio and a close team, creating private residences defined by a calm, resolved and timeless design language. Over the past four decades, we have built close working relationships with specialist manufacturers and collaborators, chosen for technical rigour, consistency of finish and service standards aligned with our own.
OUR EXPERTISE
Based in Dorset, we undertake private residential work across the UK and internationally, including coastal homes in Sandbanks, London townhouses and heritage properties in the Home Counties, alongside projects further afield in locations such as Antigua and Switzerland.
Our expertise spans the entire home, allowing each space to be developed with depth while remaining part of one coherent direction. From new homes and full refurbishments to considered kitchen projects, we bring spatial judgement, technical detail and a clear design approach to every stage of the process.

OUR STORY
Dream Design was founded in 1984 by our Creative Director, Andrew Rizza.
Andrew began his career as a carpenter before moving into joinery and bespoke cabinetry. He started Dream Design with a simple belief: that better work could be achieved by taking greater care over the detail, the materials and the way each piece was made.
The studio first specialised in wardrobes and fitted cabinetry for local clients. As the company grew, Dream Design moved into a workshop in Hinton, which later became a combined workshop and showroom. Over time, the studio expanded into kitchens, bathrooms and complete interior projects.
In 2018, Dream Design moved to its current showroom in Christchurch. Owning the building allowed us to shape the space properly and create a showroom that reflects the way we think about homes: considered, detailed and designed as a whole.
In 2024, Dream Design celebrated 40 years in business. Today, we work on full home renovations, new builds and one-of-a-kind kitchen projects, carrying forward the same values the studio was built on: care, detail, practical knowledge and a belief that good design should feel peaceful, personal and lasting.

Our showroom in Dorset is a full-scale expression of Dream Design’s approach to interior architecture and design.
Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces are conceived as part of one wider whole, with furniture, lighting and architectural detailing considered together throughout.
