CONSIDERING DESIGN FROM INCEPTION TO COMPLETION
Nestled between a river and a lake, the Contemporary Riverside Home offered a rare opportunity to maximise natural views while creating a fluid and connected interior.
Dream Design collaborated closely with the client to reimagine the layout, opening the walls between the kitchen, dining, and study areas to provide uninterrupted panoramas of the surrounding water and greenery. A key structural transformation involved replacing the study/kitchen wall with a down-stand beam, seamlessly integrated into the design to maintain aesthetic harmony throughout the home.
The centrepiece is a bespoke, nautilus-inspired island, crafted with autumn-toned pen shell panels handmade by Indonesian artisans. This striking feature serves as the focal point, complemented by SieMatic S2 furniture in a warm nutmeg finish and Caesarstone Mink worktops, offering a harmonious blend of texture and tone.
Above, a curved ceiling mirrors the island’s flowing form, housing integrated lighting and an extractor fan. Anchored by a central support column, the golden spiral concept threads through the design, creating a cohesive space that is both functional and visually captivating.
