Celebrating 40 Years of Dream Design

In 2024, Dream Design marked forty years of private-residential interior architecture, founded in 1984. The milestone offered a moment to recognise the work itself: projects shaped through disciplined planning, coordinated set-outs, and detailing that holds up in daily life.

To mark the anniversary, we welcomed clients, collaborators and friends to our Dorset showroom. The evening centred on conversation and shared context around the decisions that make homes work well over time — proportion, circulation, light, and junction control — alongside food and hospitality.

The event also introduced our newly extended showroom. We planned the new room sets as working sequences across kitchens, bathrooms, living and bedroom spaces, with clear thresholds, aligned joinery lines and layered lighting so guests could experience how function and atmosphere are carried by the same architectural set-out.

We thank everyone who joined us, and the collaborators who supported the evening and the showroom work, including Jake at That’s Shallot and Dec at Fayer Electrical.

Dream Design continues to deliver private-residential projects across Dorset and beyond, including bespoke kitchens, architectural bathrooms and fully integrated interior architecture. Our work is carried through defined stages — briefing, set-out coordination, specification and site checks — so the built result matches the intent at handover and in everyday use.
