Christophe Pillet is a French designer who has won international acclaim for the spectrum and quality of his creations. Architecture, objects, furniture, art direction: his signature is invariably associated with the finest brands and projects of ever-increasing weight and prestige.
If a Pillet style exists, it is that of efficiency and service, in the sense of sexual functionality: the ability to crystallize, in the project, the excitement of the proposition. Collaborations over time, such as those with Catherine Malandrino and Jean Claude Jitrois, signify his interaction with the world of fashion, a domain which is particularly dependent on the art of seduction.
FLEXFORM ANY DAY CONSOLE
“Is a piece of wood that rests on a simple structure enough to produce a piece of furniture?”. This is the question Christophe Pillet asked himself when he designed the Any Day console. For the designer, the answer is yes, if “in this sophisticated understatement we find attention to detail, balanced proportions, celebrated elegance of the silhouette and masterful execution, characteristics that define the unique quality of that object”.The Any Day console combines pure lines and minimalist design, expressed through a great number of finishes that emphasize its outstanding versatility. The sleek metal structure supports a canaletto walnut veneered element, complete with practical drawers, that comes in an array of finishes. The top can be made of wood or in various types of marble.

CHRISTOPHE PILLET
Graduated from the Decorative Arts School in Nice in 1985, Master of Domus Academy, Milano, in 1986. He worked with Martine Bedin in Milano for two years (1986-1988). He started his own agency in 1993 and has been working independently ever since. He engages in many fields: product and furniture design, interior decoration, architecture, scenography and artistic direction.
FRAG SAHRAI ARMCHAIR
The Sahrai range, which includes a pouf, lounge armchair and coffee table, is inspired by the famous director’s chair with an “X” shape, “flipped” horizontally, and then used to create the base of this collection. The rest is down to the leather details, the padding and the metallic finishes which breathe life into these incredibly refined objects.
VARASCHIN SUMMERSET DINING CHAIR
The design of the Summerset dining chair follows a sweet and welcoming curve, shaped by a metal grid, recalled in the quilted motif of the cushion that covers it. Available with seat cushion only, or with seat and back cushion, or one-piece cushion.
FLEXFORM FIRST STEPS BAR STOOL
Christophe Pillet’s design philosophy can be summed up in a few eloquent words: “I am not on a quest for the extraordinary, but rather for that which is beautiful and able to kindle emotion in the ordinary”. This impassioned exploration of the essence of things is fully developed in the design of the First Steps collection.
FRAG CLUBBY ARMCHAIR
The Clubby lounge chair has a cylindrical shape, padded and fully upholstered in leather or cloth, with an external shell lightly padded and upholstered in cloth, leather, saddle leather or braided leather.
