The Marble look has seen a revival over recent years and is often chosen to add a touch of glamour and sophistication to contemporary interiors. This is largely due to technology advancements in the production of porcelain slabs that replicate marble, but with an absorption rate of less than 0.5%, coupled with extreme strength and versatility, thus allowing the designer to create the effect in areas where the natural characteristics of marble would ordinarily restrict its use. That said it’s these very characterises that make marble so unique and endearing and in some circumstances the preferred choice.
