By Andrew Rizza
Dream Design Creative Director

Antonio Lupi founded his company in 1950 in the town of Fucecchio, Tuscany relocating just a few Kilometers away to Stabbia, the current site in 1969.

Today, Antoniolupi is a leading producer of ‘made in Italy’ bathrooms, exporting to 52 countries through an exclusive dealer network.

The second generation family owned company is steered by creative/managing director, Andrea Lupi and his siblings, Patrizia, Nello and Sergio. Each covering different roles and responsibilities to ensure the Lupi ethics are maintained throughout all divisions.

The distinctive features of this ever-developing company are its ability to innovate by continuously searching for new materials and designs, while investing heavily in manufacturing technology.

Antoniolupi product line now embraces the entire living space, thanks to the collaboration with established designers, such as Carlo Colombo, Nevio Tellatin, Riccardo Fattori, Mauro Carlesi, Domenico de Palo and Paolo Armenise.

Marble Washbasins
Marble Washbasins
A freestanding washbasin made entirely of marble – Intreccio is born from the vision of the designer Paolo Ulian and the determination of antoniolupi to explore new ways to craft this ancient material, whist ensuring minimal waste of valuable resources. Thus, a single block of marble is divided into 4, from which 4 washbasins are sculptured. The rings that make up Intreccio are concentric – carved one inside the other to maximise the volume of each block.

Intreccio weighs “only” 55 kg, because weight has always been a significant factor in the production of marble products.. Lightness, technology that becomes an aesthetic expression and material savings summarise at best a project of great impact, an element which gives life to a composition of the elegant and contemporary bathroom.

The concentric rings are staggered, overlapped each layer below, in a play of light and dark consequential of the marriage of concave or convex shapes. The result it a piece of art – a masterpiece.
