CATTELAN ITALIA was established in 1979 from an idea of Giorgio and Silvia Cattelan, manufacturing initially “marble” elements, such as tables and coffee tables. In 1989 in order to satisfy the market demand, the collection was expanded to include dining tables, chairs, bookshelves and other complementary furnishings, combining materials such as wood, glass, leather and metal.
In 1995, the two sons, Lorenzo and Paolo, entered into the business. In recent years, thanks to the support and experience of Giorgio Cattelan, Paolo has become the very core of the Company. Leaving Lorenzo to take on the role of CEO of Arketipo – a respected Tuscan manufacturer of distinctive upholstery, acquired by Cattelan Italia in 2011.

The Nautilus bookcase, designed by Brogliato Traverso is available in titanium, graphite or black embossed lacquered steel. Each unit is stackable and can be arranged side by side to create larger configurations.
