Barrel – rounded shapes, the image that points to the archetype of the wooden barrel, the massive figure, impressive, iconic in its all-round development and a perfectly smooth surface. It occupies the space imposing immediately a precise hierarchy to the entire composition, capturing center stage. In its original version it held alcohol and preserved it for a long time protecting it. As washbasin instead the water is to be contained, not conserved, in its interior.
Barrel implements a transposition function within the domestic space, maintaining the character of a pleasing picture rounded form with the reduced base to provide stability and support on the ground to define the “barrel”.
